At first, China Abrasives Import & Export Corporation (CAEC) was set up in 1981 as the largest state-owned corporation that specialized in abrasives and abrasive products in China. After nearly 30 years, it has developed into a conglomerate corporation that dabbling in abrasives, refractories, chemicals, minerals, metals, machineries, as well as processing trade, exports and imports complete sets of equipment and technologies.
CAEC is composed of two subsidiary companies, four stock-owned companies and four I/E business departments, has a professional, capable and efficient team which consists of Senior Engineer 21%, Engineer 64% and Assistant Engineer 15%. CAEC also has hundreds of cooperative suppliers and scientific research institutes.
Now, CAEC is the Chairman of China Abrasives Association, the Chairman of Artificial Corundum Branch and the Chairman of Sic Branch of China Chamber of Commerce of Metals Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters.
The China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH), to which CAEC is subordinated, was established in January 1971 with approval of the State Council. SINOMACH is a large scale, state-owned enterprise group under the supervision of the State Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. Its service covers a wide range of key national economic sectors including industry, agriculture, communication and transportation, energy, building, light industries, automobile, ship- building, mining, metallurgy and aerospace industries. For years, SINOMACH has sustained over 30% annual growth, with main business revenue reaching 15 billion US$ in 2009.
